ARTIST BIO

     From a young age Emma Panowicz was captured by the beauty of art and has since worked to depict the meaningful moments of life in visual manner. Graduating from Saint Mary’s College in the spring of 2021 with honors in her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Emma has cultivated her passion for photography, drawing and in particular painting. Her favorite projects have consisted of painting wall mural frescoes during her studies in Italy and displaying her religious oil painting series in a solo exhibition for her senior thesis called “Mary, a Mother for All.” In recent years she has completed various commissions, including multiple watercolor landscape paintings for the Saint Mary’s alumnae relations department. Emma’s work has received multiple honors such as the Jane O’Rourke Bender artist award and the Sister Edna service award, highlighting the blend of service and her Catholic faith within her artwork.
